Partner Gävleborg county council of Gävleborg initiate, coordinate and support regional development. Being host of ECOMM 2013 is the result of a long term regional effort regarding sustainable travel, starting in 2001. By the collaboration of regional and local participants we can now apply the sustainable growth perspective into mobility management. Biogas Mitt

Partner The climate benefits associated with using biogas as a vehicle fuel are twofold – it reduces the use of oil whilst also making use of the energy contained in our waste. BiogasMitt works to make biogas more accessible for those who want to contribute toward a better world.

It is of great importance to us to participate in the development of a sustainable infrastructure by contributing with solutions for fossil free vehicles. University of Gävle

Partner At the University of Gävle, we have much activity that is of relevance for mobility, and our research and education are often conducted in collaboration with industry and society. Several research groups are represented at ECOMM 2013, including Environmental Engineering, Spatial Planning, Energy Systems, Environmental Psychology, and the Centre of Logistics and Innovative Production (CLIP).

Gävle Dala Energikontor

The Gävle Dala Energy Agency works to promote energy efficiency and the proportion of renewable energy in the areas of construction and real estate, transport, heating and electricity consumption. The Agency cooperates in international projects to gather and share knowledge and experience with other regions, primarily in Europe.

Länsstyrelsen Gävleborg

The county administration has a project where we support the municipalities in their work to develop environmental friendly travelling policies. Develop action plans for the 16 environmental objectives in collaboration with the municipalities and other agents. To be a partner to the municipalities in their planning processes and review that the national objectives concerning safety, health, climate adaption and inter municipal matters are considered

Landstinget Gävleborg

We are honoured that ECOMM is to be held in Gävle and our region. As Gävleborg is a transport-intensive county, with a high proportion of heavy goods vehicles and a large movement of people on a daily basis, transport issues are important for the region’s development. Sustainable transport in particular is important for our region’s development, and we have established a large number of projects since 2001 with the objective to create a more sustainable transport system and to achieve our environmental objectives. We hope that the conference and its subsequent activities will give us and other actors in the region inspire us to continue in our work to promote sustainable transport.

Gävle Municipality’s Planning

Gävle Municipality’s Planning department provides energy and climate advice that contributes towards an increased awareness of energy issues and encourages various types of energy efficiency measures that support national, regional and local environmental and energy objectives.

Uppsala Sweden Earth Hour Capital 2013

WWF declared Uppsala Sweden Earth Hour Capital 2013. Uppsala was recognized for its long-term and far-sighted work with breadth and depth in climate issues, renewable fuel and sustainability. WWF drew attention to some particularly good initiatives that have set the standard, including the planned residential project, Östra Sala backe. Trivector Traffic is a well-known company offering transport R&D and consultancy services in Sweden and Europe. We undertake MM projects and offer training, support, coaching and evaluation of MM projects. EcoMobility SHIFT is a total quality management scheme for cities to assess, audit and label their transport performance. With a set of 20 indicators the SHIFT scheme can be used by cities to know the current performance of their urban transport system and thus prepare plans and actions to increase their performance. Be Green Umeå. Umeå municipality, together with several local, regional, national and international partners are to find new solutions to car sharing, bike rentals at the travel center, energy efficiency and waste management in residential areas. The overall objective of the project is to demonstrate how environmental policy can be interpreted and implemented into concrete citizen-oriented actions, which motivate and help citizens to change their behaviour.
